Play Sports?

Sports can be hard, especially when your players bodies are constantly growing. What used to be easy can become hard overnight. Let us teach your player how to run, jump, and get fast so they can play their best game, instead of being left behind.

Misson

Your kids have enough on their plate. They have school, homework, social activities, all of their sports teams, and more. Odds are their coaches are suggesting doing extra work at practice or hiring skill developmental coaches. Maybe they think its time your kids step up their game and play on multiple teams to get their reps in. Perhaps they keep telling you that your player needs to make a decision and be a one sport athlete. That seems like a hefty load for someone who is just starting their sporting career. Sure they can handle it, they're kids. Should they handle it though?

We are more than irritated with the youth sports industry and how it has lost its soul for a dollar in travel/aau sports. For your kids to play their best game they need only 3 things.

1. Play lots of sports and learn the games and the skills until they find one they love and commit to it.

2. Go to lots of sports camps to help them learn their body, what feels right, what feels wrong, how to run, how to jump, how to change direction, how to move without limitation, and how to get strong. Speed comes with learning the rest.

3. Master recovery. What it is, what it means, how it works, what it entails, everything recovery.

Doing those three things and doing them well will set your player up for the next level, whatever that means to them. Running from organization to organization and team to team looking for the next best thing is going to burn them and you out mentally, physically, and probably financially.

Run Camp

Camp helps your player learn how to run. Growing can be akward and sometimes its hard to know how to run and move fast in the game. We teach collegiate running fundamentals that help your player be the fastest on the field.

Camp helps your player learn everything there is to know about jumping. How to land, jump, and change direction without hurting their knees and keeping them strong for their entire sporting career, but more importantly strong for life.

I recently had the opportunity to attend an incredible basketball training camp, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences for athletes. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was charged with energy and professionalism. The coaching staff was top-notch, with a deep knowledge of the game and a genuine passion for helping players improve. They took the time to break down the fundamentals while also challenging advanced techniques to take skills to the next level.

We were looking for our kids to get stronger which would allow them to excel more at their respective sports. The one on one attention has really helped them to succeed. We are grateful for the coaching staff continuing to push them and allow friendly competition.

Our daughter started training with Andrew because of her size and lack of speed and strength on the soccer field. Being on the smaller side, Emma had a more difficult time going up against bigger girls. We connected with Draft Day Athletics one morning during a soccer camp and learned about their personal approach to helping kids get stronger and faster no matter their size. As time went on Emma became stronger and faster on the field! Since then both her and my son have been able to continually work on their fitness years after working with Draft Day Athletics. Thanks so much Coach Andrew!
